Taskward Terms and Conditions
Rules and responsibilities for using Taskward.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Taskward, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required where you live. A parent or guardian must consent where required.
3. User accounts
You are responsible for accurate information, protecting credentials, and activity under your account. Notify us of suspected unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable use
You may not cheat, manipulate scores, harass others, interfere with the app, reverse engineer it except where law permits, misuse uploaded content, violate law, or infringe others’ rights.
5. User content
You retain rights in content you submit and grant us a limited license to host, process, display, and use it as needed to provide the app.
6. Photos and uploaded content
You must have the right to upload content and must not upload unlawful, harmful, or privacy-invading material. Checklist images may be processed to provide requested recognition features.
7. Gamification
Gamification is intended for motivation and entertainment. Rules, progression, scoring, and availability may change.
8. Scores, coins, points, streaks, and rewards
Scores, coins, points, streaks, and rewards may be reset, corrected, removed, or changed to address errors, abuse, balancing, or product updates.
9. Leaderboards
Leaderboard placement is not guaranteed. We may remove entries or users for manipulation, abuse, technical errors, or rule violations.
10. Virtual items
Boards, badges, coins, points, rewards, and similar virtual items are licensed, not owned, and may be changed or discontinued.
11. No monetary value
Virtual points, coins, rewards, boards, badges, and similar items have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and are not transferable unless expressly stated.
12. Subscriptions and purchases
If purchases are offered, pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase and handled under applicable store rules.
13. Apple App Store terms
If obtained through Apple, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Taskward or support, subject to its applicable store terms and any rights it has as a third-party beneficiary.
14. Intellectual property
Taskward, its branding, software, design, and non-user content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law.
15. Feedback
If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, subject to applicable law.
16. Third-party services
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
17. Availability and app changes
Taskward may be unavailable, contain errors, or change during development. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
18. Disclaimers
Taskward is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. It does not guarantee productivity, employment, income, academic performance, or personal results.
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from use of Taskward.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us from claims arising from your unlawful use, content, or violation of these Terms.
21. Termination
You may stop using Taskward at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law applies.
23. Dispute resolution
Before filing a claim, contact us and attempt informal resolution for 30 days. Any remaining dispute will be handled in an appropriate court in Pennsylvania unless applicable law requires otherwise.
24. Changes to the terms
We may update these Terms as the app changes. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
