ShiftFit Health Data Policy

Information that may be accessed

With permission, ShiftFit may access step count, active minutes, workouts, and related fitness or activity information needed for enabled features. Exact access depends on the final app and permissions you grant.

Permission and purpose

ShiftFit requests Apple Health or HealthKit access only with user permission and only for specific, user-facing wellness or fitness features such as shift activity summaries, goals, and progress.

Display and processing

Authorized information may be calculated, summarized, and displayed in ShiftFit to support user-requested features. Estimates may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.

Data minimization and storage

ShiftFit is designed to request and process only information reasonably necessary for enabled features. Storage locations and retention will reflect the final implementation; we do not claim that all data stays only on the device unless production behavior guarantees it.

Security practices

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to sensitive health and activity information, including access controls and secure transmission or storage where applicable. No system is completely secure.

User control and revoking permissions

Users control Apple Health permissions and can review or revoke them through iPhone Settings. Revoking access may limit ShiftFit features but does not automatically delete information already stored by ShiftFit.

Account deletion

Users may request deletion of health or activity information controlled by ShiftFit through the app when available or the account deletion page. Information stored independently in Apple Health may need to be managed separately on the Apple device.

Prohibited uses

ShiftFit will not use information obtained through Apple Health or HealthKit for advertising, marketing, data mining unrelated to health and fitness, sale to data brokers, or other prohibited purposes.

Health and activity information will not be sold, used for data brokerage, or used for advertising. HealthKit information will not be shared except as necessary to provide a user-requested health or fitness feature, comply with law, or protect safety, and only where permitted by Apple’s rules.

No medical diagnosis

ShiftFit is a general wellness tool, not a medical device. Health and activity information does not provide diagnosis, treatment, prevention, cure, or monitoring of a medical condition.
